“Joining PFL is the best decision I have made throughout my incarceration. It gave ma a different perspective and brought me out of my idle comfort zone to do something good and positive, something I can be proud of. Although I am training these dogs, they have taught me to be kind, patience and compassionate – feelings that I had kept locked away for so long. PFL has given me hope and an opportunity to make amends with the education and training tools so that I can help and rescue abandoned dogs. This program teaches me, as much as the dogs, to let go of the past bad behavior and focus on building what is healthy and productive.”
