Steven

My name is Steven and I have been incarcerated for 7-years. As a child, we always had dogs and I loved spending time with my “Bricks,” a 130 lb Rot wielder, who never let me forget who the boss is. I heard about the Paws For Life program and I felt I would do well working with animals that I have always had a love for. What I didn’t know, is that I would learn to work in a team setting and place the needs of others ahead of my own. This has allowed me to look within and seek to improve myself in areas that I once allowed to land me in prison. I’m thankful for this opportunity to give back instead of taking, and to show my community that I’m a man worthy of a second chance.
