My name is Roger Clark and I’m a 67-year-old first termer. I have been in prison for 15-years and I never imagined that there would be a dog rescue program in prison; however, Paws For Life (PFL) has changed that reality in a huge way. This amazing program has allowed me to interact with dogs and let down my guard when dealing with other people. I’m now capable of opening up and not worrying about putting on that macho persona that normally occupies so much of our existence in prison. Thanks to PFL, compassion is now the lens I look through most.
