I’ve been in prison for two decades now. I kept telling myself over and over, “I’m going to do something great someday that is meaningful.” I had an “A-HA” moment one day…”Dogs, that’s it!” My mother loves animals. My 96 year old grandmother in Colorado has an obstacle course for dog training in her backyard. What better for me than to train dogs! From the moment you get your dog out of its crate in the morning, you have a smile on your face the whole day. I go to sleep thinking about training and wake up thinking about it. I need these dogs as bad as they need me. The more dogs we save, the better I feel inside. It has changed me for life.
