Occupation: Dog Trainer
location: Vacaville
My name is Richard Moye and I have been incarcerated for eleven years. My introduction to dogs took place many years ago when I met my best friend’s dog, “Big Boy.” This name was appropriate because he was heavily muscled, could swim, and even climb trees—Big Boy was the most amazing dog I had ever seen. It was Big Boy that that showed me why dogs are called ‘Man’s Best Friend.’ I have had two dogs of my own, “Rocky & Daisy,” and when I heard about Paws For Life, I knew it would be a wonderful opportunity for me to reconnect with the unconditional love that dogs provide. I also knew that it would allow me to play a role in rescuing these amazing animals, and be a member of a team that is devoted to serving others. I appreciate this chance to care for another living being and work on becoming the best version of myself.
