PAWS for Life has given me the opportunity to give more of myself and the tools to grow into a better person. I now find my days filled with compassion and a sense of responsibility, while interacting with these four legged furry little therapists. To be part of something so rewarding has given me a feeling of need and a new purpose in life. In training these dogs, I’m learning to put others before myself, all the while gaining a sense of camaraderie and partnership. In closing, I would like to thank PAWS for Life for allowing me to be part of something that my family and friends can be proud of, and to show them that something positive can still be born out of the most difficult and horrible of situations.
