My name is Maurcio and, to be honest, I was a little ambivalent about the PFL program. I love dogs and have had them in my home for most of my life, but I wasn’t sure how a prison dog rescue program would figure into my life. However, I signed up because I love dogs and I want to help rescue them. It didn’t take long for me to realize how positive the PFL program is. The first time I walked a dog in the PFL program, my heart was filled with joy and I knew that this program not only rescues dogs—it helps rescue the men, too.
