Initially, I wasn’t motivated to join PFL because I simply wasn’t aware of how powerful the program is changing people’s lives—not to mention how many dogs they rescue. However, being around the men in PFL and watching them devote themselves to such a selfless endeavor changed my mind forever. In fact, their ability to work as a team, to sacrifice for each other and the dogs, and their undeniable commitment to rehabilitation solidified my need to a part of the PFL Family. I expected to change for the better, I expected to develop team concepts, and I certainly expected to benefit from the unconditional love that dogs share; but I certainly did not expect to receive the extraordinary support from people associated with PFL. They genuinely support us and recognize that we have remorse for the harm we’ve caused, and—perhaps most importantly—they treat us as human beings.
