My name is John and I have been incarcerated for 25-years. I joined Paws for Life because I have always wanted to participate in a program that rescues dogs. I have been housed in other prisons that have similar programs, however, PFL seemed to offer a much more complete experience. In others words, I not only have the opportunity to help rescue dogs—giving them a second chance—but I also have the chance to become a better person in the process. The team work, self-sacrifice, and empathy needed to become the best trainer I can be, will also help me grow as an individual. My grandson has autism and I have seen the benefits of a loving dog in his life—so any contribution I can make to help a child in similar circumstances—PFL will always get my best efforts.
