Johnny - Released

Hello, my name is Johnny Lloyd. I have been incarcerated for the past 44 years. Yes I am serving a 7 to Life sentence for First Degree Murder. I was 26 years of age at the time of my arrest and conviction. I am now 70 years old. I have not received a parole release date yet, and I was denied Parole for another 3 years when I went before the “Board of Parole Hearing” last September.
I am also an insulin dependent Diabetic since May of 1987. My mother’s passing was a traumatic experience for me and that is when the diabetes kicked in. February before last I had to have all five of my toes on my left foot amputated due to complications caused by the diabetes!
As I was about give up all hope, Paws for Life K9 Rescue presented itself, and I just had to get involved! You see, I grew up with a dog of my own, “Whitey” was my best (really only) friend. We went everywhere together. Whitey was the only person who gave me unconditional love!!!
I hope to become well rounded in proper dog care and training with that I’ll bring this to a close.
