Big smiles and new beginnings is what the Paws for Life program means to me. After a while of being incarcerated in an environment where racial segregation was the norm and communication was restricted to only my race, I became averse to communicating with people of different races. The Paws for Life program changed that. Because it is a multi-cultured program, it allows me to grow intellectually and culturally. I am proud to be a member of PFL. This is a community that not only helps heals deep emotional wounds endured by many abused , abandoned, neglected and sometimes disabled dogs as well as people, but it also ensures they will no longer be another day of suffering for any of the dogs in this program.
What a wonderful feeling to know that I am giving back to society in a way that is making a difference in the lives of many dogs and many families, PFL breaks barriers and helps in overcoming obstacles. It creates unity then builds community. This program instills character. Paws for Life equals success.
