I remember the first time I looked across yards and saw dogs walking inside the prison, with incarcerated men! I was in awe.  I made it a goal to be a part of the amazing Paws For Life training program.  I accomplished it! Being able to work with dogs has become symbolic of my life; they have been abused, neglected, forgotten and often rejected due to their past behavior.  However, we at PFL believe in rehabilitation and second chances.  I am able to provide affection, patience and understanding, fostering trust and love in our dogs which helps PFL place them in loving homes.  Being able to contribute in this process gives me a sense of accomplishment and allows me to make amends by giving back to the community and dogs.
