This program help facilitate rehabilitation through caring, compassion, patience, responsibility and community. The integration of love of animals and the willingness to help rescued animal is the focus of PFL. As a member of this program for almost six years, I have had the privilege to work with some great dogs and some amazing people. I have received the greatest gift a person in prison can get because of this program and that is the chance to go home. I got my sentence commuted by Governor Brown because of Paws for Life. This program means a lot to me because it is about family and second chances and what better way to get started than working with man’s best friend. Thank you to all the members of Paws for Life for giving me a home and for showing me love and compassion.
