My name is Danny and I have been incarcerated for the past twenty-years. I joined the PFL program because I have always had dogs and any opportunity to help find them forever homes is something I want to be a part of. Additionally, these dogs play a big role in my own sense of rehabilitation and comfort. They teach us so many things and, perhaps the biggest for me, is that I’m allowed to let down my guard and show love—in spite of this environment. I’m responsible for being here, so it is also my responsibility to live a life of amends while I’m here. There’s no better way than to help rescue dogs and be a part of the PFL family!
