As a child, my father had a Golden-Retriever and we would go hunting with him and play with him in the backyard. Also, my mother’s personal dog was a Cocker-Spaniel and we’d play with her until the sun went down. Growing up around dogs gave me an appreciation for them. So when I heard about Paws For Life, it brought back fond memories and took me back to my childhood. Moreover, I wanted to be an active participant—which would allow me to be in-sync with a time in my life when freedom made me feel much more alive.
