Occupation: Dog Trainer
location: Vacaville
I have initials for my first name (D.C.), but everyone calls me “Tex” because I grew up in Texas. I became interested in Paws For Life because I have had dogs all my life, and this program is an amazing way to help rescue dogs. When COVID-19 hit CMF, I was one of the unfortunate men to be hospitalized and nearly died from the virus. I had already turned in my application for PFL prior to the outbreak, but that near-death experience enhanced my enthusiasm to participate in this worthwhile program—and it also allows me to give back for some of the harm I have caused in the real world. I look forward to growing as a trainer and a person. By the way, my last name is “Trainer,” so you might say that I was destined to be part of PFL.
