Paws for Life K9 trainer, Chris Mann

Chris

Occupation: Dog Trainer

location: CMF

Being in Paws for Life has given me purpose every day. I get to wake up and train with dogs all the time. There was a time while in prison that I couldn’t even conceive of what it would or could be like to have or hold a dog again. I absolutely love being able to train with our apprentices and share with them all our personal stories about dogs which have come through. Seeing the love everyone in PFL receives loads of heart and creates an environment where community is realized. Personally, I continue to be able to be a part of something bigger than self and by doing this program teach, learn, love, empathy, and compassion are gifts given to me.
PFL is truly a part of my family and always will be. This gave me a skill set I didn’t know I possessed until I found that I’m successful at it. And being able to help train a dog to become a part of somebody’s family where they’ll belong to their forever home, forever.
That’s a success that I take to heart.

Paws Up!
