During my time in prison, I have participated in many self-help groups and programs; however, it took a chance meeting with the program leader of the Paws For Life K-9 Rescue (PFL) in order for me to learn about this amazing program. I have always been someone who does their due-diligence, so I went to the library and read an article about PFL. From that moment on, I knew PFL was for me. I grew up with dogs all my life and my best pal, Rusty, was a shepherd mix with the heart of a lion. He was my protector, my best friend, and certainly a member of the family. I look forward to participating in this worthwhile program and helping rescue these extraordinary dogs.
