Paws for Life has been a real blessing to me. It is a privilege to have an opportunity to work with these pups and group of outstanding men. I will carry this experience for a lifetime.

Rescuing and training these precious animals has ironically taught me a great deal about being human. I’ve learnt that being kind to someone is a self-gratifying gift that actually benefits the giver just as much as the receiver. Paws up!

For me, Paws for Life is family. We are diverse, have weird uncles and the whole nine yards. It’s great. It is everything prison should be while being everything that is usually is not. Throw in the dogs and it’s heaven. Family found!

Paws for Life means a brotherhood founded on redemption, rehabilitation and second chances and a greater sense of responsibility. Paws for Life has changed my life. It gave us our humanity back. Gave us wonderful dogs that loved us unconditionally and didn’t care who we were. It brought me out of my shell and allowed me to connect with my daughter again.

Paws For Life means connection to me. Through this program I have learned to connect to myself, others and animals in ways I never thought someone could in prison. It is an understatement to say that PFL changed all of our lives forever.

PFL is purpose, hope, friends, family, love and peace. Its ripple effect is impacting, touching and uniting so many lives, dogs and people. It’s also giving dogs and people second chances at life. PFL has given me humanity and humbled me.

What Paws for Life means to me. It’s a reminder of the blessings that I have in my life, it’s a responsibility, dedication, but most importantly it’s love and unselfishness. It’s a way of giving back and make a difference in the world.
