Get to Know Arya

No matter what your feelings and opinions may be on the much-disputed final episode of Game of Thrones, the last season was nearly a year’s worth of mind-blowing ingenuity and hard work. And you’ve gotta admit – the character who found ultimate joy and freedom? That would be one petite, courageous lover of life (and occasional badass) named Arya. And that’s why our crop-eared little babe with an underbite shares her namesake.
Though only five years old, Arya has some arthritis in her front legs, making long strolls in the park (or, say, swinging a sword to slay a White Walker) a dubious undertaking. That said, however, she gets around pretty dang well, loves snoozing in a lap, laying around in the sun, and happily tolerating the adorable headbands we force her to don for photographs. She is pure love and resilience, a dog who may not have lived a wonderful, safe, and cherished life of adoration and protection until now. Alas, she is our Arya. She is strong and good and a little bit of a shero.
“What do we say to the God of Death?”
“Not today.” – Arya Stark
