Marcus

Facility Manager

Marcus is a Facility Manager at the People and Pet Innovation Center. Marcus' role as manager is to oversee the group training classes, dog socialization groups and maintain a healthy work environment. Marcus spent nearly 7 years in the dog program while incarcerated, eventually becoming one of the co-leaders of the program. His experience also includes working with services dogs for veterans who suffered from PTSD which lead to becoming the lead service dog trainer. Marcus has taught many group classes, mentoring and leading by example. Marcus' experience allows him to share his knowledge to assist others to better understand their dogs.

Jensen

Facility Manager and Lead Trainer

Jensen is the Facility Manager at the People and Pet Innovation Center. As manager, he oversees the daily operations and teaches group and individual training classes to the community. In Jensen's 7 years of dog training experience, he flourished into not only training service dogs for military veterans with PTSD, but he is also the Lead Trainer for the Paws for Life Dog Training Program at the Lancaster State Prison.

Jensen's true passion is doing whatever it takes to provide forever homes to dogs who are rescued from overpopulated shelters.

Tommy

Tommy

Dog Trainer, Playgroup Facilitator, Kennel Support Team

Tommy is a dog trainer and playgroup facilitator. He is proud to say that he has dedicated his life to helping others. While incarcerated, Tommy spent 15 years helping at-risk-youth to help give them guidance to have a better life. Since coming home, Tommy has worked full-time at the training facility, numerous part-time jobs, volunteering in his community, and is passionate about improving the lives of people and animals.

Dog Trainer, Playgroup Facilitator, Kennel Support Team

Thomas has been a dog trainer for Paws For Life K9 Rescue since 2018. In addition to pursuing a career as a professional dog trainer, Thomas earned five A.A Degrees and a Bachelor's degree in Communications through CalState Los Angeles. His passion is rescuing and rehabilitating dogs with troubled pasts. Thomas works full-time at the People and Pet Innovation Center, training dogs, facilitating playgroups and in his spare time likes to volunteer at local animal shelters.

Todd

Todd

Dog Trainer, Playgroup Facilitator, Kennel Support Team

Todd is a professional dog trainer with more than 5 years' experience working with Paws For Life K9 Rescue. At the People and Pet Innovation Center, Todd applies an array of skills in Dog Socialization, Behavioral Modification, Basic Obedience, and Animal Health and Welfare, so that he may provide the highest quality of life for the dogs under his care. Todd has earned a degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences, certification as a Veterinary Assistant, gained invaluable experience through 4 years as a Healthcare Assistant for Dogs, and continues to apprentice through practical application seminars with some of the most accomplished national and international trainers. As a mentor, Todd has helped others pair their love of dogs with passions for learning, self-development, and community service, bringing the next generation into his beloved world of animal care and training.

Apprentice Dog Trainer, Playgroup Facilitator, Kennel Support Team

Albert is an apprentice dog trainer and playgroup facilitator. He has been with Paws For Life K9 Rescue for over 1 year and continues to amass experience in all facets of animal care. Some of his duties include but are not limited to assessing dogs for playgroups, one-on-one training with project dogs, facility maintenance, kennel area management and animal enrichment.
